About belly bands

Because they're a single flat panel rather than a folded box, belly bands use the least material of any sleeve style and are usually the fastest and cheapest to produce.

A belly band is a single printed strip that wraps around the middle of a product and closes with a small overlap. It never covers the whole item, so the product stays visible and the cost stays low. It's the lightest way to put your logo, name and a few lines of information on something that is already packed.

Choose a belly band for products that are folded, stacked or boxed already: soap bars, t-shirts and towels, notebooks, candles and gift sets. Measure the product all the way around, because the length of the band is the full wrap plus a little overlap. Printing on kraft board gives a natural look, while white board suits bright, full-color designs.

Frequently asked questions

What is a belly band and how is it different from a sleeve?

A belly band is a single flat strip that wraps around the middle of a product and joins with a small overlap or adhesive strip. A box sleeve is a closed four-sided tube. Choose a belly band when you want branding on the product with the least material and the lowest cost.

Can belly bands be used on soap, t-shirts and neckties?

Yes. Bands are a common choice for bar soap, folded t-shirts and towels, neckties, scarves and rolled items. Measure the folded or rolled product all the way around and add about 1/4 inch so the band sits snug.

How do I measure for a custom belly band?

Wrap a tape measure around the product at its widest point for the length, then decide how tall you want the band to be. The calculator on this page handles the overlap for you.

Can I order a small quantity of belly bands?

Yes. Orders start at 100 units, which suits small businesses, market stalls and first product runs. Prices drop at 500, 1,000 and 5,000 units.

What's the minimum order quantity for belly bands?

The minimum order is 100 units. Pricing improves at higher quantities, with per-unit cost dropping substantially by 1,000 and 5,000 units.

How much do custom belly bands cost?

Around $0.95 per unit at 100 units, dropping to around $0.24 at 5,000 units, for a single-color print on standard board before any finishes. Use the price calculator on this page for an estimate matched to your size, material, and finish.

What are belly bands typically used for?

Common uses include Boxed soap bars, Folded apparel (t-shirts, towels), Book and journal bundles. If your product doesn't fit one of these categories, our team can still recommend the right style for it.

Do you provide design or dieline support?

Yes - dieline templates and basic design support are included free with your order. You don't need finished artwork to request a quote.
